What our customers have to say...

We can’t imagine using anything other than hurdle for our live group courses now!
Being able to see all learners screens at once as they work through the exercises is not just helpful for us, it also helps learners relax and enjoy learning. They know that if they get stuck or need help we have already noticed and ready to step in.
The awkwardness, time and embarrassment of needing to share your screen to get help has been a huge barrier to successful learning in more ways than one. With Hurdle that issue is completely gone!

We lost our training room during Covid, but after two years of "demo" style training, we notice a significant decrease in software adoption.
I can't say enough about how easy it is to train "back of the classroom" style, all while everyone is on their own computers, asking questions, showing examples between themselves or from the instructor.
You won't be disappointed with the service, support or the software.
Best software I’ve seen for Trainers...ever!

Hurdle has enabled me to be visually interactive with my learners via a virtual classroom environment.
I can have instant feedback; all participants can contribute no matter where they are. I
feel confident that my learners have had a full classroom experience but through hybrid
learning.
As a Trust, being given the opportunity to introduce hurdle learning platform has allowed
us to reimagine and re-invent education by introducing an in-person distance learning
approach

Hurdle has proved to be a very useful tool in delivering an interactive training and testing experience for our teams. The ability for Trainers to easily monitor colleagues’ screens for when issues arise or additional support is required, is particularly helpful.

Using hurdle for remote Microsoft office training was a great experience. Not only were we able to practice with the trainer guiding us through by seeing our screens but were also able to include other team members from as far away as Dubai, improving inclusivity within our worldwide team. An excellent platform for software training and one we will continue to use.

Hurdle allows trainers who have spent years training in a classroom setting to be, once again, using their strengths in delivering, monitoring, and assessing tailored sessions to individuals and groups ensuring delegates are informed and well practiced on the IT System they will be using when delivering care to Wrightington,
Wigan and Leigh patients.
This ultimately enhances patient care and ensures more accurate and efficient record keeping.
Hurdle, the company have been a pleasure to
work with, their Customer Service is outstanding and hopefully our partnership will be a long one

It’s great that we could see how our clients were getting on using the software and could help them out if needed. Excellent training tool and would highly recommend!
Learners from Lancashire, and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust
"I really appreciated the interactive function that Hurdle offered, as I learn best by having a skill demonstrated to me and then being given the opportunity to practice said skill for myself."
"I do believe that the interactive nature of today's training will help me to retain more information, as opposed to what a more didactic training session would have offered."
"Enjoyed using the virtual classroom, preferred it to being in an actual classroom environment."

Installation is easy. Although it can be deployed centrally, most of our staff just follow the link and install it before the first session they attend.
As a trainer the back of the room view is the main benefit. You can see if people are engaged and offer help either via chat/verbally or by taking control of their screen.
Hurdle listen to the feedback of their clients and actively seek out how they can keep improving their product.Katherine Marland

This technology is exactly what we need to support remote learning here in our NHS Trust.

In all aspects, I have been over the moon with our hurdle implementation.
All the trainers love it - the back of the room view, the ability to take control of a learners machine without having to request permissions every time is an absolute god send.
The thing that impresses me most is the speed that the hurdle team are on the case if something is wrong. I don't think we've ever waited more than 30 minutes for someone to look at a case for me, and it's normally us doing something wrong rather than a hurdle issue!
What we will cover in the live demo:
- 'Back of the Room' View
See all of your learner's screens in one grid, so you can monitor everyone's progress simultaneously. - 'Over Shoulder' View
Get a full-screen view of an individual learner's desktop. - Take Control
Trainers can take control of a learners desktop in a click. - Virtual Hand-Up
Learners can get the trainer's attention by using the virtual hand-up button. - Two-Way Chat
Easily converse with text-based chat privately from the rest of the class. - Microphone Control
Be in charge of who gets to speak and when with class microphone control.
Do you have any Questions?
See our FAQ below for answers or contact us using the button below.
How is hurdle different to video conferencing tools?
hurdle was designed from the ground up by software trainers, for software trainers. As an instructor, being able to see all learner desktops and webcams simultaneously, and drop into each users screen easily allows a much better learning environment for learners.
How does hurdle allow the trainer to demonstrate in an impactful way?
To improve the flow of a lesson, within hurdle, learners do not need to manage switching between applications as the trainer does this on their behalf ensuring the group are either practicing or watching the trainers demonstration.
The trainer also has enhanced presentation abilities over and above a meeting tools standard screen share option:
FULL SCREEN – takes the full focus of the learner and means learners will not be distracted.
PICTURE in PICTURE – Allows the learners to continue practicing whilst the trainer demonstrates.
Additionally, whilst the trainer is focused on demonstrating examples to learners, the trainer is given a summary display showing key metrics, such as do learners need assistance or are they engaged.
Can a trainer easily assist a learner by taking control?
Yes, the trainer can easily select any learner and take control of their desktop. This requires minimal input from the learner, so the flow of the lesson is not hindered by learners not understanding how to give control or share their screen.
Furthermore, the other learners can continue to practice whilst the trainer provides individual support using screen control, annotation and private audio or chat as required.
The co-instruct feature that is available in our Professional and Enterprise plans allows multiple trainers to take part in sessions to provide group and 121 support.
As a trainer can I tell if my learners not engaged?
Yes, hurdle will show the trainer what the learner is doing on their desktop in real time, and also notify them of any learner that is not engaged within the lesson (E.g. the learner may have clicked away from the hurdle training session). This enables the trainer to be able to target efforts more effectively within the session and make sure people are on track.
Additionally, the instructor is notified clearly within hurdle if a student leaves the lesson or if they join.
How do learners join a hurdle session?
They will receive either a join link or code (dependent on your preference) that can be issued from an LMS, email etc. When they access the link/code they will be onboarded into hurdle using a guided tutorial where they set up their speakers, webcam and audio and watch a short demo of what hurdle is and how to use it, this results in them knowing what to expect when they arrive within hurdle and there is no confusion, they are simply ready to learn.
Can course attendees join training courses from anywhere in the world?
Yes, provided the user has a computer with a stable internet connection, the session may be accessed easily from anywhere in the world.
Is there any software to install?
For trainers, hurdle is an installed application on Windows or MacOS that doesn’t need any admin rights. It can be delivered self-service to the users or via an MSI so pushed out on mass ahead of the training.
For learners, you can use either a browser based session or an installed application.
Is it possible to train users within a virtual environment?
Absolutely - our "hurdle labs" product which gives the training team the ability to setup a pre-configured desktop that includes their applications and can be embedded within any hurdle training session. This means when a learner joins rather than using their own desktop, they will be provided with a templated desktop to use during the training that is ready for the course.
How many learners can I see at once?
Our 'Back of the Room' view accommodates up to 50 learners, subject to your screen resolution.
What reporting is available?
Depending on the package you choose, our comprehensive analytics platform is able to report on attendance, learner time in session, engagement and trainer details.
